For Pinot noir, Kathy loves the stylistic diversity she is able to achieve from sourcing grapes from two very different, equally exceptional growing districts. From our Estate Vineyard, Fiddlestix in the Sta. Rita Hills, we craft “728”, “Lollapalooza” and “Doyle”, and from the Chehalem Mountains in Oregon emerge our “Oldsville Reserve” and “Alloro” wines. For her first 15 years, Kathy fermented and bottled her Oregon wines in Oregon, at a winery off of “Oldsville Road” (but for improved control, she now transports her grapes to her California winery). Hence, the origin of our tribute place name "Oldsville Reserve". Occasionally a vineyard designated wine is bottled, representing a stand-out barrel selection. Historically, it could have been Elton or Seven Springs, but today our production is proudly devoted to Alloro Vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains.
