We asked our crew what their favorite books/authors are so that you can create the perfect pairing of Fiddlehead wine & a great read: Emily Hill: 'You' by Caroline Kepnes because the perspective makes you question yourself every step of the way. (we love to change your perspective while challenging preconceived notions of varieties and aging. Questioning yourself is an important step in getting to know your palate!) Emily Wryn: My favorite author I’ve discovered recently is Lidia Yuknavitch. Her prose are scattered with stunning textural poetry and she is brutally vulnerable in her memoir, 'The Chronology of Water'. (we always appreciate texture in our books AND in our wine! Shannon Henley: Dave Eggers: 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius' ... because it is the first book I can remember LOVING! He’s an amazing author! (we are LOVING this line up!) Rebecca Winter: Robin Hobb, 'Assasin's Apprentice' - recommended by a co-worker 8 years ago who quickly became a close friend. This is the first fantasy book I had ever read and became completely engrossed in the story line. (behind every bottle of delicious Fiddlehead Cellars wine is the story, become more engrossed with every taste!) |
Kathy JosephWinemaker / Owner "We have a most extraordinary AVA and when you own and control the entire vineyard like I do, you have maximum opportunity for success. My place-driven wines truly reflect Fiddlestix Vineyard at Mile Marker 7.28 in the Sta. Rita Hills."
Don't just take our word for it, see what other winemakers have to say about our vineyard!
